Little red balls
Hi, been some time since i blogged, the title is totally irrelavent, so ignore it. :)
Ok, here goes.
For the past 2 weekends, i've been performing for CCF(children cancer's foundation). It's a great experience but you see.. it's actually more then an ego buster performance thingy.
I'm bad with words, so i'll quote someone else's post in the SMC forum
"Occasionally a reminder serves to refocus our sense of purpose. For me, it was little Petra.She was 5; she was blonde; she had clear blue eyes. She had leukemia. Her family had dropped by at Suntec; her father Andy and her younger brother Kit shaved their heads. Her whole family was there for her. But she could've stood alone - she shone like a beacon of light.Most of us know card tricks are sometimes lost on children (it happens to the best of us); let alone one so young. But everytime an effect registered, she lit up - and did she just LIGHT UP. Her enthusiasm seemed to explode from her - it was infectious. It spread through her entire family. She'd scream, or applaud, or giggle like she was possessed by joy and gaiety. And her family united behind her. In her suffering, she had brought the family closer together. It was in their eyes; that was magic I could not create."

Many times magician(or maybe only me) loose their purpose of WHY they wanted to do magic in the first place..
I was there to witness Shade performing to Princess(yes, i'll call her that) Petra. And i'm wondering to myself, 'when is the last time i made something like this happen?'
Long long time ago man.. it certainly bring back the passion i once had.
I mean, i've not lost the passion for magic, or card flourishing for a second since 2 years ago, but what i'm talking about is the passion to perform, to bring joy and laughter to the people.
I remembered telling someone, "i want to be an entertainer when i grow up."
But why? I know the answer now.. And i'll work to it.. :D
So do I sound like an angel now? LOL.. Just some food for thoughts. ^^
